Reading cues from physical clicker

1 votes

Hybrid shows have definitely arrived. And learning curves are coming with them.

I would like to suggest a feature that can read the audio cue signal from a physical clicker (Such as the Interspace Microcue or Master cue) and converts that into a forward and back button press in internet clicker (That could then advance slides at another location).

This would need a feature that you could set the recognition of the forward and back tones (which will be different on different systems)

Obviously an audio interface would be required for the audio input.

Alternatively, having the internet clicker app read clicks from a USB based clicker would also work.

The only reason i suggest this is because presenters prefer to have big a phyical button on stage (as opposed to pressing a touch screen). It’s not something I agree with, but i’m not the one on stage.

Another alternative would be a dedicated physical clicker that pairs to internet clicker.
